“My highest recommendations for Devon and the Maritime Air team — thorough, honest, and on time. They explained everything in plain language and didn't push any unnecessary upsells.”
Most homes in Tradition were built with Carrier heating and cooling. Maritime Air Co. is a factory-authorized Carrier dealer — we install, repair, register, and warranty-service the equipment already in your house. Family owned. Honest recommendations. Never high-pressure sales.

The production builders that developed Tradition — Mattamy Homes, GHO Homes, and others — standardized on Carrier as their HVAC supplier through most of the 2008–2022 build-out. Walk through Valencia Lakes, Valencia Grove, Valencia Cay, Bedford Park, or Cadence and you'll see Carrier condensers behind almost every home. If your model and serial tag starts with 24, 25, FB, FE, or FV — that's Carrier.
Most Tradition homes received Carrier Comfort Series single-stage equipment. It's a reliable platform, but builder-grade installs rarely included surge protection, premium filtration, or the extra duct sealing that extends system life. Twelve to eighteen years in, those Comfort Series systems are reaching end of life — and Tradition homeowners are deciding whether to repair, upgrade, or replace.
Carrier parts warranty requires installation by a qualified contractor with documentation. We pull warranty parts directly from our Carrier distributor and file the claim — you don't pay for parts already covered.
Capacitors, contactors, ECM modules, TXVs, Infinity boards — we carry Carrier-spec parts so most repairs finish on the first visit. Non-dealers often substitute generic parts that can void coverage.
We use the dealer-only Carrier Service Tool II for Infinity communicating systems. Non-dealers can't read Infinity fault codes (178, 184, 45, 110) properly.
Every Carrier system we install gets registered in your name within 24 hours through Carrier's portal — unlocking the full 10-year parts warranty instead of the 5-year default.
When repair is the right answer, we repair. When replacement makes sense, we say so — with written numbers, not pressure. No commission-driven sales scripts, no 'today only' pricing games.
We live and work on the Treasure Coast. Our reputation is the only thing that matters, and it's built one Carrier system at a time.
Tradition is inland — no salt corrosion — but it has its own set of Carrier failure patterns. After hundreds of service calls in this community, here's what shows up most.
The #1 Tradition Carrier repair. Florida heat cooks 370V/440V capacitors in 5–8 years. $200–$450 to replace.
Summer storms induce surges that pit contactor silver contacts. We replace at maintenance when voltage drop exceeds 0.3V.
Heavy humidity + 12+ years of biofilm. The float switch correctly kills the system. EZ-Trap tablets every 6 months prevent it.
Tradition's mature landscaping packs the condenser coil. We pull and clean during tune-ups.
Original builder-grade Carrier ECM modules in Tradition homes are reaching end of life. $700–$1,300 to replace.
8–12 year failure mode on Tradition systems. Symptoms: poor cooling, high superheat, frozen lineset.
We will never tell you to replace a system that can be repaired economically. We will never quote a $14,000 replacement when a $400 capacitor solves the problem. We will tell you when your system has real life left in it, and we will tell you when it's time to plan a replacement — with written numbers, not pressure.
That's how we've built this family business. It's the only way we know how to do it.
Carrier requires documented annual maintenance to honor most parts warranty claims. Captain's Cooling Club covers two full Carrier-spec tune-ups per year (25-point inspection), priority dispatch, 15% off all repairs, no overtime fees, and we file your maintenance log directly to support your Carrier warranty. $229/year for residential.
“My highest recommendations for Devon and the Maritime Air team — thorough, honest, and on time. They explained everything in plain language and didn't push any unnecessary upsells.”
“Devon has provided thorough maintenance and excellent service. Truly family-owned care — they treat your home like it's their own. Highly recommend for Treasure Coast homeowners.”
“Working with Devon on my HVAC system was a great experience from start to finish. Fair, clean install, and the system has been running perfectly through Florida summer heat.”
The production builders that developed Tradition (Mattamy, GHO, and others) standardized on Carrier as their HVAC supplier through most of the build-out from 2008–2022. Most homes received Carrier Comfort Series single-stage equipment — 24ABB3 or 24ABC6 condensers paired with FB4 or FE4 air handlers.
We're factory-authorized to install, service, and warranty-register Carrier residential equipment. That means we have direct distributor access for warranty parts, our techs are trained on Carrier-specific platforms (including Infinity), and we use the Carrier Service Tool II for advanced diagnostics non-dealers don't have.
Usually yes — your ductwork, electrical, and refrigerant line sizing are already matched to Carrier. Staying in the Carrier family means a clean upgrade path (Comfort → Performance → Infinity), familiar parts, and the strongest dealer-network warranty handling. We're never high-pressure on brand — if another brand makes more sense for your situation, we'll tell you.
Tradition is inland, so no salt corrosion. With Captain's Cooling Club maintenance, expect 15–18 years from a Carrier Comfort or Performance system. Without maintenance, 10–13 years is more typical. Most original Tradition Carrier systems are at or near end of life now.
Yes. We dispatch to Tradition daily and most service calls are completed same-day with parts on the truck. Captain's Cooling Club members get priority dispatch and no overtime fees.
Honest ranges: Comfort Series 3-ton complete changeout $7,500–$10,500. Performance Series $9,500–$13,500. Infinity variable-speed with zoning $13,000–$22,000. We do a full Manual J load calc and written quote — no high-pressure sales, no inflated 'today only' pricing.
Bring us the model and serial number — we'll pull your warranty status for free in under 5 minutes and tell you exactly what's covered. Warranty-eligible parts come at no part cost; you only pay our labor.
Yes — Infinity is our specialty. We carry Infinity Touch thermostats, communicating zoning boards, ECM blower modules, and we use the dealer-only Carrier Service Tool II for fault diagnosis.
On standard Carrier (Comfort, Performance non-Edge), yes. On Carrier Infinity, no — Infinity is a communicating system and requires the Infinity Touch thermostat to function fully. We'll explain the tradeoffs honestly.
Two full Carrier-spec tune-ups per year (25-point inspection), priority dispatch, 15% off all repairs, no overtime fees, and annual maintenance log filed to support your Carrier warranty. $229/year for the residential plan.
