“My highest recommendations for Devon and the Maritime Air team — thorough, honest, and on time. They explained everything in plain language and didn't push any unnecessary upsells.”
Marine HVAC is its own discipline. The same vessel can need vastly different work depending on what's failing and how it's accessed. Here's what we look at on the dock before we write your estimate.

Self-contained units (Cruisair, Dometic Turbo, Mabru) are simpler to service than chilled-water systems with multiple fan-coil units fed by an engine-room chiller. The plumbing, controls, and refrigerant circuit complexity all change the labor envelope.
Most marine HVAC failures are water-side, not refrigerant-side. Barnacle buildup in the condenser tubes, a fouled strainer, a worn impeller, or a damaged through-hull all reduce flow and create high-pressure trips. Barnacle Buster descaling, pump rebuild, and strainer service are common service items priced by job scope.
Leak detection, repair, evacuation, and recharge on a marine system require EPA 608 certification and proper equipment. Refrigerant type and quantity affect cost — and pre-existing corrosion can turn a recharge into a coil replacement quickly.
Belowdecks access to compressors, water pumps, and air handlers varies wildly between vessels. Tight engine rooms, removed furniture, tide windows, and weather all change the time required. We assess access during the initial dockside visit.
Cruisair and Dometic OEM parts are widely supported on the Treasure Coast. Less common brands or out-of-production units may require special-order parts that affect both timing and cost.
Saltwater accelerates everything — pump impellers, condenser tubes, control boards, anodes. Vessels in the water year-round on the Treasure Coast typically need more frequent service than seasonal vessels. Quarterly Barnacle Buster service often pays for itself by preventing larger pump and condenser work.
Every marine service call starts with a dockside diagnostic. We log pressures, raw-water flow, electrical readings, and visual condition before writing the estimate. You approve the scope before we open a refrigerant circuit or pull a pump.

“Working with Devon on my HVAC system was a great experience from start to finish. Fair, clean install, and the system has been running perfectly through Florida summer heat.”

Marine systems vary too much for fair list pricing. A 32' express with one Cruisair unit is a very different job than a 65' yacht with a four-zone chilled-water plant. We diagnose on the dock and quote in writing before any work begins.
We work on Cruisair, Dometic, Mabru, Webasto, MarinAire, chilled-water yacht systems, and self-contained units. Parts availability and brand-specific labor can affect pricing.
We perform almost all marine service dockside because removal disrupts the vessel and the owner's schedule. Dockside access — slip distance, tide, weather, and time of day — is factored into the estimate.
