The Infinity 26 is the best residential system money can buy for Treasure Coast humidity — its variable-speed inverter holds the house at 50% humidity even on shoulder-season days other systems can't. For mainstream homeowners, Performance 17 is the best value in the lineup. Comfort tier is fine as a builder install but we usually recommend stepping up to Performance on a replacement.

Rheem also offers the strongest conditional replacement warranty in the industry on Prestige models.

Rheem is very good — Copeland Scroll compressors and solid engineering. Carrier has the edge on top-tier Infinity inverter performance and overall brand prestige. For 80% of homeowners the difference doesn't justify the price gap.
